Plug and abandonment activities require surety. IPI’s range of permanent bridge plugs and cement retainers, provide abandonment integrity with systems supporting operations from thru-tubing to milled window P&A. Using IPI’s more robust contrawound composite element technology gives the assurance of creating a bi-directional seal in the most challenging of wellbore environments.
Plug and Abandonment Solutions for Oil and Gas Applications
We can test our packers for a V rating as required. However, V3 to V0 ratings require temperature cycling, the temperature changes will change the inflation pressure and ultimately the differential pressure rating of the packer. This means the performance envelop will have a tight temperature range. Please note that Inflatable Packers are not regarded as permanent barrier an usually serve as a base for a cement or alloy plug. The Plug will have a much higher rating than the packer.
Yes, PIBP is safe to use with bismuth plugs and we have a track record of using them as a base for alloy plugs. We have also developed a special running and setting tool to reduce the required alloy volume.
You can use wireline deployed downhole pumps to inflate our packers, we have a track record of deploying our RIBPs on wireline. The RIBP can be retrieved on slackline using industry standard pulling tools.
Yes, you can configure our PIBP to be a cement retainer. The cement retainer kit is available for most types and sizes of PIBP.
