IPI Packers is pleased to participate in CAVING 2026, the world’s only international conference dedicated exclusively to cave mining. Organised by the Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG), the event brings together mine operators, geotechnical engineers, researchers, and technology providers to discuss the latest developments in block caving, mine design, geomechanics, rock engineering, and underground mining.
Whether you are planning new cave mining operations or optimising existing projects, CAVING 2026 provides an opportunity to explore innovative technologies that improve safety, productivity, and operational performance.
Date: 18 – 20 August 2026
Venue: Shangri-La Ulaanbaatar
Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Masoud Jangani, Global Director for Mining, Water, and Geotechnical (MWG), together with Eddie Daws, Business Development Manager, APAC, will represent IPI Packers during the exhibition.
Visit our team to discuss how our inflatable packer technologies support cave mining operations, geomechanical investigations, groundwater control, hydraulic fracturing, and underground testing programs around the world.
At CAVING 2026, IPI Packers will showcase advanced inflatable packer systems developed specifically for cave mining, hydrogeological testing, and underground engineering applications.
A key focus at this year’s conference will be our DuraFRAC® Packers, engineered for high-pressure hydraulic fracturing, rock stress testing, and preconditioning programmes that support safer and efficient block cave development. Designed for demanding underground environments, DuraFRAC® systems deliver reliable performance for in-situ stress measurements, hydraulic fracturing, and geotechnical investigations.
Also featured will be our SWiPS® hydrogeological testing system, providing efficient single and straddle packer testing for permeability testing, groundwater investigations, and borehole characterisation.
In addition, visitors can learn more about our Standpipe Systems, designed to provide reliable long-term groundwater monitoring and pressure measurement in mining and geotechnical applications.
Additional technologies include:
