We are pleased to participate in CAVING 2026, the world’s only international conference dedicated exclusively to block and sublevel caving. Hosted by the Australian Centre for Geomechanics, the event brings together mining companies, researchers, consultants, and industry experts to share the latest technological developments, operational experiences, and research driving the future of cave mining.
CAVING 2026 provides a unique forum for exploring innovative solutions that improve underground safety, productivity, geotechnical understanding, and mine planning through advanced monitoring, testing, and engineering technologies.
Date: 11 – 13 August 2026
Venue: Shangri-La, Ulaanbaatar
Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Masoud Jangani, Global Director for Mining, Water, and Geotechnical (MWG), together with Eddie Daws, Business Development Manager, Asia Pacific, will represent IPI Packers during CAVING 2026 and discuss our advanced inflatable packer technologies developed for cave mining, geotechnical investigations, and hydrogeological testing.
At CAVING 2026, IPI Packers will showcase inflatable packer systems and associated technologies engineered to support safe, efficient, and data-driven underground mining operations.
A major focus at the conference will be DuraFRAC® Packers, our high-pressure hydraulic fracturing systems designed for in-situ stress measurement, rock mass characterization, permeability testing, and preconditioning applications. DuraFRAC® packers help mining engineers better understand rock behavior, optimize cave propagation, and improve planning for block and sublevel caving operations.
In addition, we will showcase:
These technologies support a wide range of underground mining applications, including hydraulic testing, groundwater investigations, permeability testing, rock stress testing, borehole monitoring, and geotechnical site characterization.
Visit IPI Packers at CAVING 2026 to explore inflatable packer technologies that help improve underground safety, mine planning, and geotechnical confidence throughout the life of a cave mining project.
Our solutions support applications related to:
Meet our experts to discuss how inflatable packer technologies can generate accurate field data that supports cave design, ground control strategies, rock mechanics investigations, and operational decision-making in block and sublevel caving environments.
